A pastel town-square festival on the outside and twenty-four freestanding miniature characters on the inside turn the Sanrio Characters Advent Calendar into a daily December gathering for Hello Kitty and Friends collectors.
Instead of dark winter colors that get packed away in January, the upright rigid paperboard box is wrapped in a soft strawberry-pink, cream, and sky-blue illustration of a bustling Sanrio street plaza. High above the pastel European-style storefronts floats a giant pink heart-shaped hot air balloon trimmed with gold filigree, accompanied by a flying white bullet train in the clouds and a smaller striped balloon. Along the cobblestones below, Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, Badtz-Maru, LittleTwinStars Kiki and Lala, Tuxedosam, and Keroppi wave from behind twenty-four pre-scored rectangular doors.
Character Lineup Across the 24 Freestanding Miniatures
Pressing open a dashed compartment door each morning reveals a three-dimensional molded character figurine designed with a flat base to stand directly on a wooden desk, bookshelf, or playroom table. Across the twenty-four days, collectors unbox a multi-outfit lineup spanning Sanrio favorites:
- My Melody Bunnies in Sweet and Royal Attire: Multiple sculpted My Melody figures in pink and red hoods, including a red-hooded My Melody hugging a plump red strawberry, a pastel pink princess My Melody wearing a golden crown, a winking My Melody holding a treat, and variations with ribbon bows and floppy ears.
- Kuromi in Charcoal, Lavender, and Lilac Hoods: Six distinct Kuromi figures ranging from her classic black jester hood with a pink skull and a red cherry prop to lilac-hooded lolita dresses, a purple-crowned Kuromi, a seated pumpkin-skirt Kuromi, and a pastel lavender hooded pose.
- Hello Kitty Wardrobe Variations: Six freestanding Hello Kitty figures dressed in a black-and-white polka-dot dress with a crimson bow, pastel over-ear headphones, classic blue overalls with a pink bow, red overalls, a purple-ribbon dress, and a pearlescent pink dress.
- Classic Sanrio Friends: A lime-green Keroppi frog figure wearing a black-and-white striped shirt, a golden-yellow Pompompurin dressed in a playful green frog-hood costume, and a pastel blue bunny-hooded Cinnamoroll figure.

Year-Round Desk Setup and Playroom Display
Because the twenty-four figurines are sculpted without hanging strings or holiday-only Santa hats, the set transitions naturally from a December countdown into a permanent bedroom shelf or monitor-riser display. Children can line up the characters in front of the town-square box to stage daily stories, while adult collectors can group the matching Kuromi, My Melody, and Hello Kitty variations along a keyboard tray or display cabinet.

Perforated 24-Door Box Construction
The wide rectangular paperboard frame stands firmly on flat surfaces while each of the twenty-four perforated front compartments is opened one day at a time. Its soft pastel palette harmonizes with light wood furniture, nursery shelving, and modern bedroom decor throughout the holiday season and beyond.
