Backyard Chickens Advent Calendar 2026

Anyone who tends a backyard coop knows that every hen and rooster in the flock carries a distinct personality—from the curious front-porch greeter to the loud morning supervisor. The Backyard Chickens Advent Calendar 2026 brings that daily barnyard humor indoors across twenty-four individually numbered compartments. Framed in warm parchment cream and barnwood espresso brown, the rigid paperboard collector box greets poultry lovers with a golden buff hen wearing dark aviator sunglasses and a knotted red polka-dot bandana in front of a daisy-lined picket fence.

Designed to sit upright on a country kitchen counter, farmhouse hutch, or mudroom shelf, the full-wrap paperboard case keeps the December countdown organized while adding warm homestead character to winter interiors. Each morning unboxing reveals a detailed acrylic chicken ornament fitted with both a top hanging cord and a flat bottom base for flexible placement.

Twenty-Four Feathered Personalities Across Chores, Kitchen & Pastimes

Rather than repeating a basic barnyard silhouette, the twenty-four daily pieces outfit golden buff hens, white hens, and red-combed roosters in miniature human wardrobes and props that mirror real household hobbies:

• Coop & Garden Stewards: A rooster in blue denim overalls gripping a three-prong pitchfork, a welcoming hen holding a wooden plaque printed with WELCOME TO OUR COOP, a straw-hat gardener hen tilting a mint-green watering can, a white farm chicken working a garden spade, a tidy white hen sweeping with a corn broom, a denim-overalls chicken tending a terracotta potted plant, and a headscarf-wearing hen carrying a woven basket of fresh eggs.
• Country Kitchen & Cozy Indoors: A white hen cradling a ceramic mug marked COFFEE DAISY, an aproned baker hen presenting a golden lattice-crust pie, a white-toque chef chicken whisking a mixing bowl, a red-capped delivery chicken holding a boxed PIZZA, a bespectacled hen reading the morning newspaper in a green armchair, and a pampered white hen soaking in a clawfoot bubble bath alongside a yellow rubber duck.
• Outdoor Adventures & Creative Hobbies: A red-helmeted hen riding a vintage pastel-blue motor scooter, a sunglasses-wearing chicken cruising on a skateboard, a rooster pumping a heavy barbell, a hiker chicken with a rolled green backpack, a shopper hen carrying colorful totes, a photographer chicken holding a DSLR camera, a ballerina hen in a pleated tutu, a painter hen brushing a floral canvas on a wooden easel, an acoustic guitar rooster in dark shades, a floral-crowned white hen on a rope swing, and a serene chicken meditating in lotus pose.

Lightweight acrylic construction keeps the ornaments from weighing down evergreen tips on a farmhouse Christmas tree, while the flat bases let poultry keepers line the entire flock along a windowsill, egg-skelter shelf, or dining table runner throughout the year. Wiping each piece with a soft dry cloth before returning it to the rigid paperboard box preserves the crisp feather shading and lettering for future holiday seasons.
